About McClain

Founder

A singer-songwriter and graduate of Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers, where she excelled in the immersion program, McClain comes to training from a background in music, and animal rescue.

McClain’s training practice grew from a long history of fostering and working with non-profit organizations like Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, where she was the Foster Coordinator.   It was through this volunteer work that McClain discovered her passion for helping people cultivate gratifying, reciprocal relationships with their dogs.  Her training philosophy–the intentional creation of a communication and conflict-reduction system between owners and dogs––grew from her experience personally fostering over 60 dogs, and helping place and train them in their new homes.

McClain is certified in Canine Training and a Behavior Specialist.  She works with dogs of all temperaments, and provides a wide spectrum of training services, from puppy basics to reducing leash reactivity and separation anxiety.  Her ongoing education includes seminars with Micheal Ellis, Blake Rodriguez and Tyler Muto. She lives part time in East Hampton, with her dog Lucille.
